About This Project

Audience
Educators seeking additional certificates in order to advance in their career. These certificates will be offered through a highly respected university.

Needs
Our university partner was seeking a highly collaborative experience. It was important to have expert presence throughout each course and consistent navigation across all courses.

Tools
Canvas LMS, Kaltura, Yellowdig, Bongo, iSpring, HTML, & CSS
The learning technology team that I led collaborated closely with learning architects, subject matter experts, and graphic designers to create a suite of four cutting-edge professional development courses for educators. These courses included custom graphics designed to enhance learning. We integrated multiple opportunities for peer interaction and instructor engagement, fostering a collaborative learning environment. Further, we incorporated various LTI applications into the course design, ensuring a dynamic learning experience.
Our teams developed multiple courses for a series of online professional development courses for educators. The courses were intended to be delivered in cohorts at regular intervals. They were hybrid in nature with regular synchronous meetings throughout the term.

Logical Navigation
Using HTML and CSS, I created a custom navigation bar that mimicked folder tabs. As the learner rolled the cursor over each tab, the tab turned a specific color. This navigation bar was included on each page of the course.
Additionally, a flex grid was built into the page to allow content to display in columns on a desktop and stacked on a mobile device. Tabs were also used to prevent extremely long course pages.
