Program administrators seeking to support instructors and improve course consistency and quality.
Needs
A custom LMS template that provides guidance and reasoning to instructors as they create courses. Additionally, they were seeking to leverage more capabilities as CidiLabs Design Tools.

The partner requested an LMS template that provided instructors with the research based evidence behind each of the sections. We used the SUNY Online Course Quality Review Rubric (OSCQR) as a guide and a resource. Each section and page of the template included instructor facing descriptions of the importance of including that element. Not familiar with SUNY’s OSCQR? Check out the rubric here!

Leveraging CidiLabs Design Tools
Learning materials were grouped by topic. My team developed this choice board using images and a flex grid. Learners could review materials in any order.
Guided Faculty Hub
Toward the end of this project, the leaders had a vision of presenting sample course content with tips and tricks scattered throughout. I used CSS and HTML to develop this customized grid structure where the Sample page was on the left and the tips and tricks could be highlighted on the right. The number icons point to specifiic examples.
One fun challenge that we faced was trying to insert our custom elements into the already existing CidiLabs created content without “breaking elements such as columns and embedded elements.
